Guess what happened to me yesterday evening.

I'm sitting at home when all of a sudden my phone rings.

I look at the display and see that it's my boss.

It seems quite odd to me. I mean, it's eleven o'clock at night! But the boss is the boss, so I answer.

And he speaks.

Please can you see if I've left my glasses on the bedside table?

Well he definitely hadn't left them on my bedside table, but I don't know how to tell him.

Eventually I just stutter: I'm sorry, there's been a mistake, and I hang up!

The next morning, I really don't know how I should act when I see him.

But he just laughs when he sees me. He apologises and explains that his wife has the same name as me and I'm just under her in his phone. He hit the wrong name.

Představte si, co se mi stalo včera večer.

Sedím doma a najednou mi zvoní telefon.

Koukám na displej a vidím, že to je můj šéf.

Zdálo se mi to dost divné, přece jen bylo jedenáct večer, ale šéf je šéf, tak jsem to zvedla.

A on hned spustil:

"Mohla by ses podívat, jestli jsem si na nočním stolku nenechal brýle?"

Tedy na mém nočním stolku si je rozhodně nenechal, ale nevěděla jsem, jak mu to říct.

Nakonec jsem vykoktala:"Promiňte, to bude omyl," a zavěsila jsem.

Dneska ráno jsem vůbec nevěděla, jak se mám tvářit, když jsem ho potkala.

Ale on se hned začal smát, když mě uviděl, omlouval se a vysvětloval mi, že se jmenuju stejně jako jeho žena, a tak mě má v telefonu uloženou hned vedle a prostě se přehmátl.
